BBIA Threatens to Stop Production

Jammu : Bari Brahmana Industries Association on Tuesday resolved that if the Central/State Govt. Notifications are not issue by the end of this week the Unit Holders will close down their Units and Stop the payment of all the Govt. dues and start the agitation for which the Govt. shall be held responsible.

The General House Meeting of the Members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association was held here under the Presidentship of Lalit Mahajan President, BBIA in presence of Suresh Mahajan, Sr. Vice President, Varun Singla Vice President, Ajay Langer General Secretary, Vivek Singhal Secretary and Viraaj Malhotra Treasurer & members of BBIA. During the Course of Discussions, Members present showed their serious concern in respect of non-issuance of Notifications by the State/Central Govt. for the Extension of Package of Incentives under GST Regime due to which uncertainty is prevailing in the mind of Industrial Units of J&K.

It was resolved in the meeting that if the Central/State Govt. Notifications are not issue by the end of this week the Unit Holders will close down their Units and Stop the payment of all the Govt. dues and start the agitation for which the Govt. shall be held responsible.

Association also requested Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti, Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu and Industry Minister Chander Parkash to intervene into the matter for issuance of Central/State Notifications for the grant of State Fiscal Incentives to all the Existing Units, Units under Substantial Expansion & New Industrial Units up to 2027 in order to provide relief to the Existing Units, Units under Substantial Expansion and New Industrial Units to save the Industrial Sector from closure as well as the retrenchment of lakhs of Industrial workers.
