FOIJ delegation interacts with advisor to Governor Khurshid Ganai

JAMMU: A Delegation of Federation of Industries, Jammu under the Chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan, Chairman, FOIJ met Khurshid A. Ganai, Advisor to Governor, J&K Govt. at Jammu today in presence of Deepak Dhawan, Co-Chairman, Ajay Langer Convener & Suresh Mahajan, Sr. Vice President, BBIA,  Ashok Kr. Jain, Vice President Association of Industries, Gangyal, Gagan Jain, General Secretary, SSI Association, Birpur & Sandeep Orhi Secretary, Association of Industries, Gangyal.

During the course of discussions, Mahajan raised the issues related to Industrial Sector of J&K in respect of non issuance of State Govt. Notification for the revision in the Maximum Safe Axle Weight, as per the Govt. of India Notification No. S.O. 3467(E) Dated 16th July 2018 issued by Ministry of Road Transport & Highway as our unit holders are facing problems as the Transport Department at Lakhanpur imposing heavy penalty of over load resulting transporters refused to load the material due to non revision of revise Axle Weight by the J&K Govt.

Further the issues in respect of Exemption to Industrial unit from Water Charges under Water Resources (Regulation & Management) Act, 2010 & Toll Tax Exemption to industrial units on the import of Walnut from outside the State as their Raw Material also discussed in detail.

Khurshid A. Ganai, Advisor to Governor, J&K Govt. gave a patient hearing in respect of the issues raised by FOIJ & assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
