CRPF honored elder people on ‘International Day for Elderly People’

  • Various programs were organized for senior citizens at Group Centre CRPF Bantalab on the occasion of ‘International Day for Elderly People’ on 01.10.2018.




JAMMU:Jammu based Battalions and Institutes of CRPF are performing their security duties with sincerity on one side and on the other they are also sensitive towards the events of national importance, social responsibility and public service.  In this context, various programs were organized for senior citizens at Group Centre CRPF Bantalab on the occasion of ‘International Day for Elderly People’ on 01.10.2018.  At the outset, a slow run of 1.6 kilometres and road march was organized for the invited elders. A medical camp for them was established in the senior citizens room in the premises in which Dr. Bhawna, Dr. Anu Gorke and Dr Ravi Bhushan of Composite Hospital, CRPF, Bantalab played significant role.

A similar program was organized at 166 Bn CRPF at Sidhra. Elders of the area were invited into the camp and a message was conveyed to public about the role of CRPF in such social programs. Besides, the elders were honored, an effort to understand their problems and requirements was made and they were informed about the availability of CRPF in case of any need. The program was organized under the guidance of Shri Anil Kumar Second-in-Command.

In another program, under ‘Swachhata He Sewa’ campaign, pledge of cleanliness was administered to CRPF personnel at Group Centre Bantalab by SP Singh, DIG, GC CRPF Bantalab and they were appealed to remain associated with such noble campaigns. Erdan Ekka Commandant, Sanjeev Kumar Singh, Deputy Commandant, Dinesh Kumar Deputy Commandant, Lakhmi Chand, Deputy Commandant (Min), other officers and personnel actively participated in organizing the event.

In Sidhra based 166 Bn CRPF, officers and personnel participated actively in cleanliness programs organized under ‘Swachhata He Sewa’ campaign. Ashish Kumar Jha Commandant 166 Bn CRPF administered cleanliness pledge to officers and jawans of the Unit and appealed them to adopt cleanliness in their lifestyle.
