HANDWARA: A Bear strayed in a residential area in north Kashmir's Kupwara district triggering panic among the locals, but was later captured.

An official told that,"We had received several complaints from the locals about the presence of a bear. The animal was reportedly on the prowl in Rajwar area for the last 15 days and had attacked cattles."

"The Bear was later trapped in a cage," he said.

This was the sixth such catch in the kupwara district this year.
