Army conducts of medical cum veterinary camp

  • Rising Star Gunners conducted Medical cum Veterinary Camp Medical Camp on 15 Dec 18 at village Janglot of District Kathua.

JAMMU: Medical Camp was conducted on 15 Dec 18 at village Janglot of District Kathua as an effort to reach out to the underprivileged locals of remote areas. The lack of proper medical facilities in the area prompted the Rising Star Gunners to plan and conduct the Medical cum Veterinary Camp. 

A team of doctors was assembled and adequate supplies of essential medicines were procured to attend to the medical requirements of the local population. Special emphasis was given to the needs of women, children and elderly people requiring special medical attention.

The locals greatly appreciated the efforts of the Army, especially Veterinary camp, as there are limited numbers of Veterinary facilities in the area. The Medical cum Veterinary camp received an overwhelming response from local population. 

A total of 510 patients and 72 animals were provided with medical care. The villages expressed their gratitude to the Army and applauded the efforts of the Rising Star Gunners for looking after their medical needs.
