UDHAMPUR: Police arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered 6.5 grams Heroine (chitta) at Rehambal in Udhampur district.    

Continuing going JKP's #WarOnDrugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police under the supervision of Rajiv Pandey,IPS SSP Udhampur today recovered 6.5 Grms of Heroine ( Chitta) from narcotic smuggler at Rehambal, Udhampur. 

Giving details Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur said, today a party of Police Station Rehambal led by Insp. Ajay Bhat SHO PS Rehambal under the supervision of Rohit Chadgal, DySP Hqrs. Udhampur and Rajinder Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur laid a surprise naka at Chopra shop Udhampur. 

During naka checking, police patrolling party stopped one suspected person at Chopra shop market who was on his way from Udhampur to Chopra shop on foot, tried to escape from the police party. The said person was immediately nabbed by police and during checking of said narcotic smuggler namely Iftqar Ali S/O Mujaffar Ali R/O Kotli Pain, Udhampur, 6.5 grms of Heroine (chitta) was recovered from his possesion. The said accused was arrested on the spot and chitta seized.

In this connection, a case FIR no.50/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS act stands registered in Police Station Rehambal and further investigation of the case is taken up.
