UDHAMPUR: Police today rescued 34 bovine animals at Chenani, Udhampur.

Giving details Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur said, Based on reliable information, Police Party of Police Station Chenani led by Insp Paramjeet Singh SHO PS Chenani under the supervision of Santokh Raj Deol SDPO Chenani laid a naka at motorshed, NHW, Chenani, Udhampur for checking of vehicles. 

During checking of vehicles, police party intercepted two trucks bearing registration no. JK05C- 0939 and UP 15AT 5714 for checking.

During search of said vehicles, 34 bovine animals were found loaded in both the vehicles without any valid permission. 

All the bovine animals were rescued and the acussed namely Zafran Ahmed Wani S/O Mohd.Yousaf R/O Darshi Pura, Ramban and Ghulfam S/O Hashim R/O Chakrota,UP were arrested on spot. 

In this connection, a case FIR No. 37 /2019 U/S 188,  RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani and further investigation is going on.
