  • Udhampur Police today rescued 17 bovine animals at Battal Morh, Majalta Udhampur in two different cases.




UDHAMPUR: Udhampur Police today rescued 17 bovine animals at Battal Morh, Majalta Udhampur in two different cases.

Giving details, Rajiv Pandey,IPS SSP Udhampur said, today Police parties of Police Station Majalta led by Insp. Bharat Sharma SHO PS Majalta under the supervision of Jagdev Singh Slathia SDPO Ramnagar and Rajinder kumar Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur laid a surprise nakas at Battal Morh area for checking of vehicles. 

During checking of vehicles, police party intercepted some smugglers with 14 bovine animals which were taken on foot without any valid permission. 

All the bovine animals were rescued on spot and accused smugglers namely Mohd.Showkat S/O Abdul Hamid R/ Samba,Arif Hussain S/O Mohd. Khalil R/O Samba,Sadam Hussain S/O Hakim Din R/O Samba, Mohd.Rafiq S/O Mohd.Sadiq R/O Samba and Farooq Ahmed S/O Saida R/O Samba were arrested on spot.
  
In this connection, a case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation is going on.

In another case, same Police party of Police Station Majalta led by Insp. Bharat Sharma SHO PS  Majalta under the supervision of Jagdev Singh Slathia SDPO Ramnagar and Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl.SP Udhampur laid a naka at Flata, NHW for checking of vehicles. 

During checking of vehicles, police party intercepted one bolero bearing registration no.JK 02 BH 5770 which were subjected to thorough search. During search of said vehicle, 03 bovine animals were found loaded in this vehicle without any permission. 

All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely Rishu S/O Som Lal R/O Kathua alongwith Ved Parkash S/O Sadhu Ram R/O Ramnagar were arrested on spot. 

In this connection, another case under relavant sections of law stands registered at PS Majalta and further investigation is going on.
