Bovine Smuggling Bid foiled at Udhampur,18 bovine animals rescued, 02 smuggler arrested

UDHAMPUR: Police today rescued 18 bovine animals at Udhampur in two different cases.

Giving details,Rajiv Pandey,IPS SSP Udhampur said, today Police party of Police Station Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Dr.Rohit Chadgal DY.SP Hqrs. Udhampur and Rajinder Kumar Katoch Addl.SP Udhampur laid a surprise nakas at Bharat Nagar area on NHW for checking of vehicles. 

During checking of vehicles, police party stopped one tata mobile bearing registration no. JK03F 1182 for checking. During checking of said vehicle, 06 no. of bovine animals were found loaded in above  said vehicle without any permission. 

All the bovine animals were rescued and the accused driver namely Mukhtiyar Ahmed S/O Ghulam Mohd. R/O Anantnag was arrested on spot.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 168/19 U/S 419/420/188RPC, 3PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation is going on.

In another case, same Police party of Police Station Udhampur led by Insp. Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Dr.Rohit Chadgal DY.SP Hqrs. Udhampur and Rajinder Kumar Katoch Addl.SP Udhampur laid a naka at Bharat nagar area on NHW for checking of vehicles. 

During checking of vehicles, police party intercepted  12 bovine animals which were taken on foot by the smugglers without any valid permission. All the bovine aninals were rescued on spot and accused smuggler namely Parvez Ahmed S/O Abdul Wahid R/O Ghagwal, Samba was arrested on spot.

In this connection, another case FIR No. 169/19 U/S 188 RPC, 3PCA Act has been  registered at PS Udhanpur and further investigation is going on.
