UDHAMPR: Police today rescued 55 bovine animals at Chenani, Udhampur.

Giving details Rajiv Pandey, IPS SSP Udhampur said that, Based on a reliable information, a police party  of Police Station Chenani led by Insp. Paramjeet Singh under the supervision of Santokh Raj Deol SDPO Chenani and  Rajinder Singh Katoch Adl. SP Udhampur laid a naka at motorshed, Chenani for checking of vehicles.

During naka checking, police party intercepted 02 trucks bearing registration no.JK 14B 8523 and JK14 B 6555 for checking. During search of said vehicles, 55 bovine animals were found loaded in both the vehicles without any permission. 

All the bovine animals were rescued and accused namely Parvez Ahmed S/O Junaid Ali R/O krimchi, Udhampur and Nayaz Ahmed S/O Mohd.Tahare R/O Dansal Jammu  were arrested on spot. 

In this connection,cases under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
