Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, District Police Samba under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, IPS successfully foiled 02 consecutive attempts to smuggle bovines by rescued 10 bovines and seized 02 vehicles in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.

                1) Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a Police party of PS Ghagwal at Naka Tapyal intercepted one Mahindra load carrier bearing registration no. JK08B/9624 for checking.

During checking, 05 bovine were found laden inside the said vehicle without any permission and were tied in a cruel manner.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 111/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Ghagwal.

2) Similarly, a Police party of PS Ghagwal rescued 05 more bovines at Naka Tapyal, Ghagwal which were being transported illegally in a Tata Yodha pickup having chassis No. MAT464662NSC06119 ENGINE NO. 28987831ABFR

In this regard, a case FIR No. 112/2022

U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act stands registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.

All the bovines mentioned in above incidents were rescued and shifted to a safer place. The vehicles used for transporting the bovines were also seized.
